"Elsewhere," Gabrielle Zevin

"How can fifteen-year-old Liz let go of the only life she has ever known and embrace a new one? Is it possible that a life lived in reverse is no different from a life lived forward?"
....So I read this book today while I was at the hospital waiting on my grandma's knee surgery, which went well by the way. It begins with a 15 year old girl who dies in a car accident and mysteriously wakes up on what appears to be a boat. She later discovers that she has actually died and has gone into the afterlife, which they call Elsewhere. In Elsewhere, Liz, learns a lot more about life than you'd expect, for being dead and all. She goes through some hard ships but you must read the book to see how the rest of the story unfolds. At first I was annoyed by the main character, Liz who seemed like just a selfish little girl, but after giving it some thought, I decided that it would be just like a 15 year old to act that way and continued reading. As I got more and more into the story, I started thinking, wow the author must've had some crazy ideas running through their head as reflected upon their writing. Fiction or Non-Fiction, it still came from a small idea in the author's mind which came to expand into something more materialistic. Overall, I guess it was a pretty good story although I do still think that some parts of it were extremely odd. Read it sometime, I mean, if you're into that whole afterlife stories type of genre.

Gotta Go Gotta Go, Oh No, I've Got To Pay?
No seriously. I thought they only did this in Mexico at like the airport or whatever, but apparently El Pollo Loco thinks it's cool to charge people too. I think it's pretty stupid, you're already paying for the food, regardless of how much the coinage may be to go to the restroom. It could be 2 cents for all I care, it's still the principle that they're charging you to use the facilities which are in a sense necessities. Oh well, I still didn't pay neither did I let my parents pay for it. I just knocked and the people who were already in there opened the door. Did I mention the restrooms weren't even a one room, one toilet, there were 3 stalls in the women's restroom, but I don't know about the mens lol.

The Thinker: A Prologue
So my senior year in High School I had a pretty smart English teacher. She decided to make our final assignment the task of writing a prologue about ourselves. This is what I came up with although it may not be amazing. It more applies to anybody who is a free thinker than I think it does to me but I don't know. We were reading, Geoffrey Chaucer's, "The Canterbury Tales," which might I add has some great stories reflecting good morals. I recommend it if you have not read it. Well enough blabbing, here's the prologue I wrote.
There is a girl with thoughts a plenty
Who thinks herself as good as any
Fills her brain with information
Though leaves room for contemplation
Questioning the world at hand
She doubts ideas of a set plan
Her reality is self-created

"The Canterbury Tales is a collection of stories written in Middle-English by Geoffrey Chaucer at the end of the 14th century. The tales (mostly in verse, although some are in prose) are told as part of a story-telling contest by a group of pilgrims as they travel together on a journey from Southwark to the shrine of Saint Thomas Becket at Canterbury Cathedral. In a long list of works, including "Troilus and Criseyde", "House of Fame", "Parliament of Fowls", the Canterbury Tales was Chaucer's magnum opus. He uses the tales and the descriptions of the characters to paint an ironic and critical portrait of English society at the time, and particularly of the Church. Structurally, the collection bears the influence of The Decameron, which Chaucer is said to have come across during his first diplomatic mission to Italy in 1372. However, Chaucer peoples his tales with 'sondry folk' rather than Boccaccio's fleeing nobles"

Fallout New Vegas
So today I decided to skip on the blog, but just to feel productive, I'm going to post this sic game trailer. I can't wait to play it, too bad my computer can't run it! I'm gonna have to upgrade to be able to play but it'll be completely worth it, or so I think. Fallout is a super fun game! :D
Lucid Dreaming..
I am completely fascinated by the idea of Lucid Dreaming. For those of you who may not be familiar with the term, Lucid Dreaming refers to:
"...a dream in which the sleeper is aware that he or she is dreaming. A lucid dreamer can actively participate in and manipulate imaginary experiences in the dream environment. Lucid dreams can seem extremely real and vivid, depending on a person's level of self-awareness during the lucid dream."
Source: Wikipedia
The idea that one can have the ability to control what they dream just amazes me. If our dreams are the key to balance in our lives, imagine what the possibilities would be were you to have even a little bit of control in that state of consciousness. I can only imagine what it would be like, due to the fact that I have not yet been able to successfully recall a lucid dream. Therefore I am unable to share any personal experiences or even verify that lucid dreaming is a reality, but I choose to believe that it is and I plan on continuing to work at it until I've gain at least a slight amount of success at it. What do you all think about Lucid Dreaming? Does it sound interesting to you or does it sound like a load of BS? I'd like to know your point of views. :)

As A Starting Post :)
This video is literally What The Fuckk, my friend and I noticed some strange things, although the video itself is pretty strange to begin with. What are your views on Lady Gaga, is she really a government conspirator, or is she just a normal girl leading a stranger than average lifestyle.
This was a hard video to get, Every time I'd click a new link it'd be a random person talking about the video, seriously, it shouldn't take this much work. lol.
